Canvas Stretcher Bars

Heavy Weight Stretcher Bars to meet the highest professional artists' standards. They are made from the finest well-seasoned kiln-dried wood. All corners are slotted and double-mortised, and all sizes are interchangeable. They are beveled on one side for the mounting of the canvas.

Open-ended mortice and tenon corners make squaring up easy to acheive and maintain.

All stretcher bars are 40 x 33mm beveled faced These stretcher bars have the side parallel to the canvas tapered down so that only the outside edge touches the canvas. This avoids the inside edge of the stretcher bar touching the canvas and revealing the shape of the stretcher frame against the canvas.
